Forward a port
For optimal performance Zultrax P2P needs to be capable of accepting incoming connections. Your AirLive OVIPAC711 router by default blocks incoming connections unless a port is forwarded. Follow the steps listed below to forward a port for Zultrax P2P.
Other programs
We list here the steps needed to forward a port for Zultrax P2P. There are other programs (on-line games, file sharing and others) that also need port forwarding. Port forwarding is simular for all programs, only the port number is different. If you need to forward a port for another program than Zultrax P2P and you know the port number, use the steps below with that port number and it will work out fine.

In the next steps we will configure your router in such a way that the router allows Zultrax P2P to accept incoming connections. Your router is designed to serve multiple computers and of course multiple programs. Even if there is only one computer connected we will later on need two bits of information:
- The local IP of your computer
- The port used by Zultrax P2P
Zultrax P2P can help you to find those two bits of information. In the menu tools choose system info. This will display a page of information with various details about the program amonst which Local IP and port. Write those 2 down, you'll need them later.
It is the Local IP we are looking for, do not confuse the Local IP with the Public IP that is also shown on this system info page.

Exit Zultrax P2P. Don't leave the program running while you are performing the actions below. Leaving the program running might give you false indiciations that your actions where not succesfull.

Your AirLive OVIPAC711 router is configured now. You forwarded a port for Zultrax P2P. You can start Zultrax P2P and you will see incoming connections coming up. This might be not immediatly after start up but within minutes you should see at least some incoming connections. The program will adapt itself to the new configuration.
In case you still don't have incoming connections, perhaps you also have firewall software installed that needs configuration. For that see
the Firewalls/Routers page
, the info about firewall software is somewhere at the bottom of that page.

Local Static IP
IMPORTANT : Depending on your exact configuration it is possible with the AirLive OVIPAC711 router that after a while you might be again without incoming connections. If this is the case, your router gives your computer a Dynamic Local IP Address. Often that is no problem as long as that Dynamic Local IP Address is always the same. As soon as you lose your incoming connections, you can assume it is not always the same.
In this case you can best define a Static Local IP Address for your router. We have a manual for this
here.
After you defined a Static Local IP Address, best use the Settings in the Tools menu of Zultrax P2P and change the port number, to e.g. 6347 and afterwards repeat the steps as mentioned above.
We advice you to only do this in case you lost your initial incoming connections again. Otherwise, it is most likely not needed to start making changes in your computers settings.
