UPNP
Zultrax P2P supports UPNP. If your router is UPNP-compatible and UPNP is turned on on both your router and on Windows, Zultrax P2P takes care of the configuration itself.
Most modern routers support UPNP but often it is by default disabled.

Is any configuration needed?
How do you know if your configuration is OK? Run Zultrax P2P for a few minutes. The status bar shows the number of incoming and outgoing connections. Both should be more than zero.
If that is the case, Zultrax P2P can make connections and all is configured right.

Configuring UPNP
Both windows and your router must have UPNP enabled. Microsoft hasn't made it easy to configure. We would suggest the UPNP Test Program by
Mark Gillespie
. This program tests if UPNP is enabled and if not helps you on the way to get the job done.
Download the UPNP test program
PS: The UPNP Test program suggest that you need Service Pack 2 of Windows XP. It is not the case, you need Windows XP but can do without the Service Pack 2. In Windows 98/ME the implementation of UPNP by Microsoft is a disaster, in XP it is working OK.

Configuring windows a bit more easy
The UPNP Test program assists you in starting several of Windows services to get all up and running. We found another tool, UPNPTest2, that automates this tasks. Download this program, reboot the computer, start the program once, answer all questions with Yes and that's done. You'll have to do this once, not every time you start your computer.
Download UPNPTest2
