Use shortcuts
As you can see in the main-menu, every often used function in
GrabJPG can be reached with a shortcut key. You can use them
for navigating more rapidly. Just press the key instead of
using your mouse. For example: press CTRL-S to save an image.

Use the arrow-keys

Use the arrow keys to move from one image to another.

Check out the menu
Every function of GrabJPG is available in the main menu.
Often it is also reachable on another way but when you are
looking for something, the main menu is the place to be.

Use Page Up/Page down
Use the keys Page Up and Page down to quickly go
from one gallery to to another.
Save images quickly
Press CTRL-S to save a image in the default directory.
Press CLTR-I to save a image in a directory you choose.
In both cases the full picture will be saved, not the thumbnail.
Personalize the defaults
When starting a new grab, GrabJPG fills most of the fields
you need to specify with a default value. Use Tools/Settings
from the main menu to control these default values.
Larger or smaller thumbnails
Use the button "Gallery" to select the number of images you
want to see on one page. Either many small images or less bigger
ones, the choice is yours.
You can choose a different setting for each grab.

Search in English
You can search in any language but if you want most results
then use English. English is the dominant language on the
Internet. For example searching for "dog" will give more
results than the German equivalent "Hund"

Control the usage of resources
You can slow down or speed up GrabJPG by decreasing or increasing
the number of simultaneous threads.
Decreasing this number reduces the usage of your system resources
and available bandwidth by GrabJPG. Increasing it will help getting
your pictures quicker.
You can pause GrabJPG
You can temporarily slow down or even totally pause GrabJPG.
Use the gear buttons in the performance section to achieve this.
All information GrabJPG requested before you pause it will still
just come in. So it takes a little before the pause has effect.
Limit bandwidth usage
You can set a maximum speed for GrabJPG. Select performance
and press the change button to do this.
No need for typing http://
When you grab a website or web page, you do not have to type
the "http://" on the beginning of the website's URL. This as
long the URL starts with "www."
For example, correct are "www.zultrax.com", "http://www.zultrax.com" and "ftp://ftp.ftpsite.com"
but not correct are "zultrax.com" and "ftp.ftpsite.com"
Limit the number of running grabs
You can run as many grabs simultaneously as you want.
However the speed of incoming images per grab will
drop when you run too much grabs. Perhaps you can
pause a few grabs.
You can use the big directories
When searching for images related to subject you can look at
one of the many directories on the Internet like yahoo.com or
dmoz.org. If they have a category related to the subject
(and most surely they will have): Grab that page (set the
grabbing rule to "follow all links" and set "stay on site" to
"Only links not on site").
Usually you get much more than you ever could need.
Search with a few words
A search will give all images that apply to the criteria.
Try to use short search criteria at first. E.g. if you search
for "president george bush" you will find a lot less pictures
of the great leader than when searching for just "george bush".
