Can I download and share whatever I want?

No. The laws of the country you are in can put limitations. In most western countries the main limitations are caused by copyright laws. Almost all the music, video and software that you also can buy somewhere is protected by copyright. Besides copyright there might be other laws as well that limit your freedom to share. Laws differ from country to country.

What is your opinion on the whole copyright-issue?

We are software writers, not politicans, lawyers or activists. We do have opinions about many things but we are wondering why people always want to have our opinion on this issue. Aren't there more interesting things to talk about?
However, to avoid any mistake:
1. We advice all users of our software to not use the software on such way that is or might be illegal according to the local laws.
2. Some artists have chosen not to become part of a corporate business machine and spread their work free of copyright. We encourage the use of P2P file sharing and other networking technology to give those artists an audience.

Is Zultrax P2P itself protected by copyright?

Yes it is. But, anybody can spread as much - unmodified and full - copies of the program as he wants and anybody can use the program how he wants as long as the use is not for business purposes.

Can you give me advice how to find/download a certain file?

No. We will try to help users with problems using the software but cannot go into details about certain files. That would force us to fully examine that file first ourselves, in combination with the laws of the country that user is from and the laws of the country we are in. We are advised to stay out of that.

I found a certain file on your file sharing network which I think should not be there. Could you remove it?

We do not have a network. People share files that are on their computers and we provide a piece of software to do that with. We cannot add anything and we cannot remove anything.

Does Zultrax P2P protect me against viruses?
|
|
|
|
No. We test Zultrax P2P on working well together with all well-known virus scanners but if you download software or micro$oft document-formats shared by a unknown other user you might check it carefully before opening.

Do I need to share?
|

No. Zultrax P2P does not have a sharing obligation and we do not give extra (speed)advantages to users who share a lot or get a lot of uploads.
