Intruder fighting
Zultrax P2P connects with other nodes. On the ZEPP network the other side is also using Zultrax P2P because Zultrax P2P is the only program using this network.
Intruder fighting means that Zultrax P2P checks if the program on the other side is also Zultrax P2P. If not it is an intruder and measurements will be taken.
Why?
On many other networks stealing your private information is simple. The way how information is exchanged over the network is described in publicly available documents, sometimes even the source code of the software is publicly available.
Having all this information it is not difficult to write a small piece of software that writes down in a database exactly who is sharing which files, or other information about you. As a part of our privacy protection we try to avoid this.
Of course neither the Zepp protocol nor our source code is public. Also due to other measurements we took intrusion will be difficult. Intruder fighting is the final protection wall: When they try it anyway we will make it as hard as possible.
How it works
Your Zultrax P2P exchanges a few secret messages with the Zultrax P2P on the other side. This one must give the right answers otherwise it is an intruder.
When the intruder is discovered he will not simply be disconnected. This disconnection would give them information about how far they might already be in descrambling our network. Instead of this the intruder will nicely be kept busy. He will receive false information (see also falsification) instead of good information.
Finally all the work to get into will still have no effect. Still all they get is information that is garbage. Even when they finally also take this threshold: How can they tell. Is it still garbage or is it valid information.

Intruders are not welcome on the ZEPP network.
