Configuration
After installation of Zultrax P2P you can start using the program. Directly after installation or a little later you might configure Zultrax P2P according to your own situation.
Connections
|
On your statusbar you see the number of connections made by Zultrax P2P. There are 2 kind of connections: Incoming and outgoing.
Incoming:
Another user has made a connection with you.
Outgoing:
You have made connection with another user.
For optimal performance you need both incoming and outgoing connections. If you constantly have neither of them or only one of both Zultrax P2P will not work optimal and that will result in significant lower speeds in for example finding and downloading files.

Zultrax P2P needs access to the Internet. If you see no incoming and/or no outgoing connections for a longer time, something is wrong. The most common cause is that your firewall or router needs to be configured. Check the
firewalls and routers
configuration section for more information.
Another cause might be running two P2P file sharing applications simultaneously. This is possible but requires special configuration. After closing the other program, restart Zultrax P2P and the problem should be solved.

File library and shares

In the
file library
you can define which folders on your computer are interesting to include in the file library. Unless you define otherwise files in the file library are shared with other users, they can download them. Besides that the file library also gives a good central entrance place to find your files, maintain your collections and play or use your files.
Zultrax P2P will also compare files you find in your searches with the files in this file library. If you find a file that you already have but has a different file name it will still be detected that you have this file. The program will inform you so that you don't download the same file twice.

Settings
Further fine tuning of Zultrax P2P can be done in the
settings
Enter your license key
You have a Zultrax P2P License key? For getting the top-priority and top-performance of Zultrax P2P you need to enter this license key (once) to let the program know it should act as Zultrax P2P Pro instead of Zultrax P2P Free.
Press F12 or choose Tools / Enter Your license key and a screen pops up. Enter your key, press OK, and you are running Zultrax P2P Pro. The program transforms to the pro version without you needing to do anything else, no reboots, reinstalls or anything.
