Preview files
Video files can be pretty large in size. Therefore, sometimes downloading them can take a while. You download files shared by other users so it isn't always sure after completion of the file that it is the file you expected and that it is of good quality. For this previewing the file can help. As soon as essential parts of the file are downloaded Zultrax P2P can generate a preview of the video file. You can watch this preview - usually the first part of the video - and see if it is worth downloading or that you might better cancel the download.
Preview is only available for video files. Although most of the time a preview will just do what is expected it won't always work, as a preview is an attempt to show you part of the file based on incomplete data this might sometimes fail. Especially for files of the .AVI video format you can expect failures in the previews. This is not an indication that the file itself is not good. You can try to generate a preview again once a bit more of the file is downloaded.

How it works
Each download will show a preview button. As long as no preview is possible this button is showing a question mark. Click this button to get information about why a preview is not possible (yet).
As soon as a preview becomes possible the button changes. Click the button and a preview will be generated and shown.
Normally generating the preview goes quite fast. For files of the AVI format it can take longer.
If the preview for any reason won't work well, an error message is displayed. This is no indication that the file once downloaed completely won't work well, the preview is generated on incomplete data so it just isn't always correct.
Some files can already be previewed when hardly 1% of the data is downloaded. Others can still not be previewed when already 80% is downloaded. Besides a certain quantity of data the preview also needs certain parts of the file, files are not downloaded sequentially so the percentage complete does not indicate when a preview will be possible.

Finally, when downloading of the file is fully completed, the button changes again. Now you can just play the file, no preview is needed anymore.

The preview window
You see the preview displayed in a video window. Double click the video to show it full screen, double click it again to come back to normal screen. If the preview is rather short you can always try to generate a new preview once the file is downloaded a bit further.
Use this buttons to play, pause or stop the video. The trackbar below the buttons can be used to wind the video forward / backward. This winding will not always go too smoothly in a preview.
Use this buttons to put sound on and off and increase/decrease sound levels.
If you decide you don't want to download this file, press the button Cancel download. Using the preview is a pefect way to quickly filter out files that aren't worth downloading, saving you bandwidth and time that can be used to download those files that are worth downloading.
The button Close will close up the preview window but leave the download untouched.
